She built her life to prove him wrong. The life he thought he wanted means nothing without her.
Lucas and Bella fell in love in college. When it was time for graduation, she expected a proposal, but instead, he broke up with her. He had big plans for his future and didn't feel that she was ambitious enough for the world that he envisioned. Years later, he saw her in a florist shop in NYC and realized that she was successful, admired, and in demand, and owned the florist shop. He had started questioning the life that he wanted in the future and was beginning to think that becoming successful might not be worth it if he didn't have time to enjoy life. Once he saw Bella, he started thinking of ways to get her back. He sent roses, hot chocolate, and a book that he knew she'd enjoy to her anonymously. But when the truth comes out, and old wounds resurface, forgiveness might be the only gift that can bring them together again—just in time for a midnight kiss beneath the New York sky. Is there anything that can bring them together before New Year's Eve? Will they get their happily ever after?
You can always depend on Ashley Farley to give you a story with interesting and well-written characters and a story that keeps you turning pages while you hope that they find love the second time around.

Christmas is coming in Paris, Pennsylvania, and Sophie Dubois, Chamber of Commerce Promotions Director, is trying to work up enthusiasm for what is normally her season. Paris's business isn't exactly booming as much as it should be. Sophie loves her job, but she must come up with a plan to save it.
Sophie is in charge of the Chamber of Commerce Promotions department in Paris, Pennsylvania. Tourism is down, and the mayor is threatening to fire her unless she can come up with an idea that will bring more tourists to their small town for Christmas. She thinks that social media may be the answer, but needs a plan that will make the town shine and let people know about her town, which works to be a small replica of Paris, France.
When Mason and his dog, Gingersnap, rent the house next door to Sophie, he is appalled at the Christmas decorations in her yard. He doesn't like Christmas at all and wants to avoid any and all festivities. Mason is a world-famous horror book author and is in town to write his new book. He avoids almost everyone, and Gingersnap is his only 'friend'. The dog starts to bond with Sophie, which begins to bring Sophie and Mason together. She wants to get him involved in the town and learn to enjoy Christmas, but he's stubbornly avoiding the people in town.
Can Sophie convince Mason to relax and learn to enjoy the Christmas season? And can she come up with an idea that will increase tourism to keep her job? Will Mason and Sophie, and Gingersnap manage to have a happily ever after?
This was a cute book and fun to read. The characters were well written, and my favorite character was Gingersnap. This is a book that will definitely put you in the Christmas spirit.
