When architectural restoration specialist Allison Benson returns home for the holidays, she discovers the town's beloved Old Stone Hall is scheduled for demolition by New Year's Day. With only four weeks until Christmas, she launches a desperate campaign to save the historic heart of her hometown's Christmas Eve tradition.

When Allison finds out that there are plans to demolish Stone Hall in her hometown of Yuletide Creek, she decides to take a leave from her job as a restoration specialist.  She and her mother and sister have been estranged for six years, and both she and her sister left town.  Allison is surprised when she gets to town and finds that her sister has also decided to come home.  The relationship between the three women starts off very tentative - they all want to develop a new relationship, but aren't really sure how to start.  Allison's determination to save Stone Hall and bring it back to its glory days begins to melt the ice between them.

The mayor is determined to have the building demolished, and the data that she presented to the town causes them to agree.  With the help of Eli, a city official, Allison begins to look into the history of the town building and finds a way to stop the demolition.  She also manages to get the people in the town excited to bring this old building back to life.  It really represents Christmas to all of the people in the town, and they are all excited to bring back the celebrations of Christmas that took place in Stone Hall.

This is a heartwarming story about second chances, family forgiveness, and the magic that happens when a town comes together to help save its history.

She came home to say goodbye. But Christmas has a way of lighting the way back to everything we thought was lost.

Tessa Ellison returns home to Yuletide Creek after years away to help her mother sell the family inn.  She grew up at the inn with her parents and a brother and sister, but hasn't been able to return home due to her grief over the death of her father.  She's dismayed to find the inn in terrible shape and knows that she needs to help her mother move.  Her sister also shows up after several years away.  There's a lot of tension between the three siblings.  Her brother had stayed at home to help his mom and is very resentful that his two sisters had left home and didn't seem to care.  Her former boyfriend also lives near the inn and has been helping her brother work on repairs.  When Tessa gets home, she refuses to talk to her old boyfriend and wants to forget their past together.  But he still has feelings for her and tries to break down her barriers.

All three of the siblings miss their father and his joy and love that occurred in the Christmas season.  They reluctantly decide to decorate the inn like their father used to do. As the Ellison House comes back to life with garlands, laughter, and lanterns glowing in the snow, long-buried secrets resurface and wounds begin to heal.

Will the joy and happiness of the Christmas season help to bring the siblings back together?  Will Tessa realize that she still loves her boyfriend and will Christmas help create a happily ever after for them?

A Christmas Legacy

book cover of holiday romance novel A Christmas Legacy
November 2026; Indie; ebook; Christmas romance

When Sylvie Alcott returns after twelve years away, she plans to settle her mother’s estate and leave. But Delia Alcott had one last twist waiting: Sylvie will inherit The Sugarplum House only if she reopens it for the town’s beloved Christmas Legacy Walk—in just three weeks.

With tensions high between her and her sister Nancy, a guesthouse full of unexpected visitors, and a community that hasn’t forgotten her dramatic exit, Sylvie is ready to fail fast… until she discovers who’s living in the cabin behind the inn.

Liam Hartley, her first love—and now a widowed author—has been wintering on the property for years. Their reunion is awkward, tender, and charged with the kind of slow-burning chemistry Sylvie thought she’d outgrown.

As snow deepens and the holidays draw near, the house fills with warmth: tree decorating, skating on the frozen lake, caroling through town, a magical Christmas supper. And while Sylvie uncovers her mother’s long-kept secrets through hidden journals, she begins to see the real legacy Delia hoped to leave behind.
But Liam has a life-changing opportunity waiting abroad… and Sylvie may finally have a reason to stay.
This Christmas, love might get a second chance—if they can both choose the same future.
