2025 was a good year for reading books. I had some extra time because I quit watching the news and cut back on most other TV. As I get older, I've found that I enjoy my quiet times with books! Here are some interesting facts about my 2025 reading results.

My goal on Goodreads this year was 130 books, and I read 136 books. I did a lot of interesting travel that cut back on my reading time.
According to Goodreads, I read almost 143,000 pages, and my average rating for the year was 4.4 stars.
88% of my books were by female authors.
My most read genres were
Historical fiction 44%
Women's Fiction 25%
Suspense 15%
Romance 10%
The additional genres were nonfiction, magical realism, and poetry and I had 5 DNFs.

Susan Roberts grew up in Michigan but loves the laid-back life at her home in the Piedmont area of North Carolina where she is three hours from the beach to the east and the mountains in the west. She reads almost anything but her favorite genres are Southern Fiction and Historical Fiction.
