A Renaissance of Our Own: A Memoir & Manifesto on Reimagining by Rachel E. Cargle ~ a Review

by MK French

CEO Rachel Cargle reimagined her life independent of current social structures, moving from a Christian wife to a queer feminist voice. This memoir outlines the breaking points in her life that brought about that change, and invites others "to acknowledge the ways of being that stem from societal expectations instead of your truth, and to embark on a renaissance of your own."

There's Something about Greece by Sue Roberts ~ a Review

by Susan Roberts

One holiday could change her life forever.

Despite sharing a name with this author, this is the first book of hers that I've read.  I thought it was a basic romance novel but there was one important addition to the story - the descriptions of the Greek Island of Crete.  After reading all of the beautiful descriptions of the land, I feel like I've been on a mental vacation.

Pack Your eReader with Free eBooks for Your Summer Vacation

by Donna Huber

I'm going on a real vacation next week - the last few years I've just done staycations and spent the week in my parents' pool. I'm heading to the mountains where the internet and cell service are spotty so in addition to packing my bags, I'm making sure to "pack" my Kindle with plenty of books to read. While I will be reading through ARCs, I did check out the free ebooks lists for great summer reads. These ebooks caught my eye.

Famous in a Small Town by Viola Shipman ~ a Review

by Susan Roberts

"What separates a girl from an old woman?  Nothing but a bad back and aching knees, if we can simply continue to believe that life can be anything we desire and if we just give our dreams a chance to soar on the wind."
