The Honeybee Emeralds by Amy Tector ~ an #Audiobook Review

by Donna Huber

Sometimes I think if I went back and chose a different career, I would like to have been an archeologist or anthropologist and solve history's mysteries. Since I can't go back and choose a different path I content myself with books that allow me to vicariously satisfy that desire. The Honeybee Emeralds by Amy Tector allowed me to track down the origin of a beautiful, and very valuable, necklace.

The Bucharest Dossier by William Maz ~ a Review

by Donna Huber

Since I was a child in a gymnastic leotard looking at a poster of Nadia Comăneci I have been fascinated with Romania. My intrigue grew as I studied the Iron Curtain and Eastern Bloc in school; my heart broke with I learned of the deplorable conditions of their orphanages. You already know I love a good Cold War-era spy thriller and when I found one set in Romania, I knew I had to read it.

Where There's Smoke - Review of Tawna Fenske's Smokejumper series

by Susan Roberts

Tawna Fenske says this about her new series:  These longer, meatier novels center around a team of smokejumpers and air attack firefighters in the Pacific Northwest. Each book is a standalone novel that can be read in any order. Expect a few extra tears, but still plenty of humor.
