One book to add to your list is Nancy Thayer's new book, Nantucket Christmas Stroll. If you are a holiday purist and don't start reading Christmas books until after Thanksgiving, this book would be a great first read of the season.

Nantucket's Christmas Stroll is held the first weekend of December. As that is the setting of this book, it isn't overly Christmasy. It eases you into the season with Christmas lights and markets, but there isn't all the merriment that arrives as Christmas draws closer - gift exchanges, holiday sweaters, etc.
Holidays are All About Family
At the heart of this book is the Parsons family. The children, who are all grown and mostly flown, return to the family home for the weekend; each has life-changing news to share. But they aren't the only ones. Brick and Jane, the parents, have some unexpected news of their own.
I absolutely loved that this family wasn't dealing with the angst of divorce and second marriages that seems to be a popular theme of holiday books with older characters. That doesn't mean there aren't some relationship problems as the children navigate love and career moves. But it is pretty mild, which is great for a relaxing Christmas book.
The holidays are often a time of memories and reflection, and the Parsons have plenty of moments of both, adding a warm, cozy feeling to the story.
An Audiobook to Enjoy With Grown-Up Family
I listened to the audiobook, and narrator Nikki Zakocs does a fantastic job. There are quite a few characters in this book, but I had no trouble distinguishing between characters. Again, if you are kicking your holiday off with this book, it would pair well with decking the halls, as I was able to listen to it in one day.
It's a book you can enjoy with your adult children (college age and up), too. There's nothing sexual in the book, so no one will be avoiding eye contact or blushing uncontrollably while listening to this book with other family members.
