The Second Husband

is a wonderful domestic thriller. If you enjoy D.J. Palmer's novels then you need to pick up Kate White's new book.

Emma's anxiety leaps off the page. And I was right there with her in doubting her husband Tom. He seemed a little too perfect and then when the lies sufferance you can't help but think he possibly did it. Then he would have some perfect excuse for the lie and you would think no he couldn't have. But isn't that the way with the slick talkers? Like Emma, I didn't know what to believe.

The characters are well-written and felt like real people. The twists and turns will keep you turning the pages. This book would be great for a snow day or just a lazy weekend snuggled under the blankets this winter.
