Into the Starlight by Amanda Cabot ~ a Review

by Susan Roberts

Into the Starlight
takes readers back to Sweetwater Crossing to learn more about the middle sister Joanna plus we get to catch up with the other two sisters featured in the previous two books of this series.  This is a fantastic ending to this series and it's going to be sad to leave all of the people that we read about in Sweetwater Crossing.

Her Part to Play by Jenny Erlingsson ~ a Review

by Susan Roberts

Adanne is a make-up artist working on a movie that is filming in her home city in Alabama.  She is working hard to help save her parent's legacy plus make life easier for her brother so that he can spend more time with his son who has leukemia.  She had been working on secondary actors but one day is asked to do the makeup of the main actor John Pope.  He isn't her favorite person because he got her fired from a movie in Hollywood three years earlier when she missed work because her mother was sick.   Even as she tries to make the best of the situation, there's a lot of tension between them.  John is recovering from substance abuse and has just endured a painful breakup - which the tabloids keep writing about.  He turned his life over to God and started rebuilding his career.  The tension between them turns into sparks of interest.  Can a small-town girl and a Hollywood star make a life together?  The answer is NO if it's up to John's manager.  But decisions are being made by a much higher power and their relationship will flourish or end based on God's leading.

Love on a Whim by Suzanne Woods Fisher ~ a Review

by Susan Roberts

Book Three in the Cape Cod Creamery series takes us back to Cape Cod in the middle of summer heat and 4th of July celebrations.  It took me a few pages to remember who was married to who and what their professions but this book would be fine to read as a standalone.

Christian Romance Novels to Fall in Love With

by Susan Roberts

If you enjoy clean romance reads, then these two novels would be great to pick up. There is a little bit of suspense in the second novel if romantic suspense is more your thing.

Three New Books of Christian Fiction From Revell

by Susan Roberts

Even though Revell is a new publisher for me, it's been publishing books for over 100 years. Based in Ada, Michigan, their goal is to bring the Christian faith to everyday lives.  I have read many of their new books and find them very comforting without being preached to.  Here are reviews for three of their books publishing between August and October 2022.
