I sometimes get behind with this series because I know when I pick a new book, I won't want to put it down, so I have to clear my calendar. When I first picked up Line of Demarcation, I wasn't sure if it was a Jack, Jr or Sr novel. I admit I was a little disappointed at first that it was a Jack Ryan, Jr novel. It's not because I don't enjoy the books but the last few have been over the top with the torture scenes that no one could walk away from without being a superhero.
Perhaps someone was reading my reviews (I'm sure I'm not the only one who was commenting on it, though) because this book didn't have that over-the-top torture. It was still full of action, and there was a short scene where one of the Campus operatives is captured and beaten. But it was much more about following the intel and executing a plan.
For the first time in a while, I'm just as eager to get the next Jack, Jr. novel as I am for the next Jack, Sr. novel.
