3 Crime Fiction Books You Won't Want to Put Down

I enjoy reading crime fiction. I debated discussing crime fiction for the letter C during the A to Z Challenge, but since I was discussing a few of the subgenres I decided to do something else for C. A couple of years ago, I joined a mystery book club where we sampled a variety of the subgenres. My favorite crime fiction has always been spy thrillers and domestic thrillers but I've come to appreciate mysteries too. Today, I have some great recommendations in all three of these subgenres.

Red Winter by Marc Cameron ~ a Review

There's a traitor in West Berlin, a top secret plane crashes during a test flight, and a consulate employee is mugged but when her purse is returned nothing was taken but something was added. It is the height of the Cold War and CIA Analyst Jack Ryan is sent to West Germany to uncover the traitor.  When his search takes him into East Germany, can Ryan escape detection or will he be arrested, tortured, and possibly executed?

Two Thrillers for a Long Winter's Night

While the weather isn't truly frightful yet, it is cold enough at night that all I want to do is curl up with a book so delightful. Add a cup of hot cocoa and it is the perfect evening for a bookworm.

Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan is Back in Marc Cameron's SHADOW OF THE DRAGON

When I finished college I no longer knew what I liked to read. What I had read as a young adult in high school no longer held my interest and the only reading I did in college was classics and academic reading. So I browsed the bookshelves in my parents' house and I came across Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan series. I had seen the movies - The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, Executive Orders - so I picked up Cardinal in the Kremlin and fell in love with Cold War-era espionage. I read every book I could find and eagerly awaited new books in the series.
