The Tarot is a system of 78 cards split into Major Arcana and Minor Arcana cards, each with a specific meaning. The cards of the Major Arcana often tell the story of a spiritual journey, while the Minor Arcana cards have meanings based on the symbolism of the suits as well as the design. Cats are often seen as witch familiars, with nine lives. In this deck, all of the cards are reimagined with cat designs.

If you're familiar with the standard Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot imagery, know that there are changes here. The Major Arcana are now different feline familiars, representing those roles. For example, the Fool is now Bold Kitty, the High Priestess is now The High Feline, etc. Even the classic suits of the Minor Arcana got a makeover to paws, whiskers, claws, and tails. It's adorable, with further witchy association to the Wheel of the Year, and spells associated with each Major Arcana card. The spells accentuate the meaning of the cards, giving practical guidance as well as spiritual.
The art here is adorable, with transformed symbols from the classic deck. The meaning is still there, but it isn't as potentially frightening with kittens involved. For example, the classic Tower card is a tower struck by lightning, broken, and a figure falling off it. The Cat Tower card is a cat perched on a pile of books, shredding pages out of the top book with fallen bottles of ink. The meaning is there, but the softer art style makes it approachable and fun, relying more on intuition. The booklet included provides the spells and descriptions to help you learn the deck and bond with it. A great purchase for any cat lover who works with Tarot.
