I was so thrilled when I learned that there was another book in the Lady Astronaut series coming out. The Relentless Moon was definitely one of my most anticipated books of 2020 and I couldn't wait to read it. It is definitely one of those books that you want to read straight through but are sad when you finished it so fast.

How Lulu Lost Her Mind by Rachel Gibson ~ a Review

Lou Ann Hunter is known as Lulu the Love Guru, advising the women of America about love, sex, and relationships. Her mother, who currently has Alzheimer’s, has been married and divorced five times, and was kicked out of multiple aging care facilities for getting too close to the men there. Lulu’s advice empire is pretty much the opposite of what her mother has ever done. Her mother has no other facilities to go to, so Lulu has to put aside her career to care for her mother. Unfortunately, nothing goes according to plan.

The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James: Book Review

I've wanted to read Simone St. James' book, The Sun Down Motel, for months. The cover is gorgeous, a replica of dime-store pulp complete with worn edges and a kitschy motel sign blazing in front of a stormy sky.

Meeting Frederick makes her wonder about a simple life as a farmer’s wife rather than the complicated arrangements chosen for her. Frederick is poor and has to earn supplemental income by carving when he dodged his mother’s rages. He’s asked to kidnap Adela, and the two finally learn each others’ identity. What will they risk for love?
